Arrest warrant issued for HDP Co-chair Serpil Kemalbay

ANKARA- Arrest warrant has been issued for HDP Co-chair Serpil Kemalbay and many members of the party within the scope of investigation opened against them by Public Prosecutor of Ankara.
 
Arrest warrant has been issued for Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Co-chair Serpil Kemalbay within the scope of an investigation opened against her by Public Prosecutor of Ankara. Names of 17 people have been reportedly in the list of arrest warrant.
 
House raids were conducted in Istanbul, İzmir and Diyarbakır within the scope of the same investigation, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) deputy Co-chair Hacer Özdemir, Peoples’ Democratic Congress Co-spokesperson Prof. Onur Hamzaoğlu, Revolutionary Party Co-chair Musa Piroğlu, Socialist Solidarity Platform (SODAP) Co-spokesperson Kezban Konukçu, Green Left Party Chairs Naci Sönmez and Eylem Tuncaeli, Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) Deputy and Socialist Women's Assembly (SKM) Spokesperson Fadime Çelebi have been detained.
 
Furthermore, police raided the house of HDK Co-spokesperson Gülistan Koçyiğit in Menemen, İzmir. As her computer and mobile phone have been seized, an arrest warrant has been reportedly issued for her.
 
The reason for arrest warrant has been shown as their “anti-war” statements and declaration about the attacks on Afrin during 2nd  Women's Conference held last weekend in Ankara by the HDP.
