Civilians shot in their homes, cars: We don’t go, we are here

AFRİN - The civilians, who were shot while sitting in their homes, going to shopping in their cars in Turkish attacks on Afrin, have received treatment in hospitals. “They try to displace us but we don’t go, we are here,” said the wounded civilians.
 
Turkey’s attacks on Afrin have entered the 15th day. Many villages, refugee camps and areas have been hit by warplanes and howitzers shelling since the beginning of the attacks. Civilians have been targeted in attacks. According to reports given by Afrin Canton Health Council Co-chair Ancela Raco, about 150 civilians have been killed and 289 civilians have been wounded in in the first 14 days of attacks.
 
Many of wounded civilians have received treatment in Avrin Hospital. Wounded civilians spoke to Jin News and said, “They hit us to displace us from our lands but we don’t go.”
 
Şaban Xelîl Reşo (24), who was wounded in the attacks on Xlolko village of Bilbilê, said he had been wounded in artillery shelling on his home and his home had been destroyed. “In early morning hours, the occupying Turkish state shelled us. They shell our houses to displace us but they should know that we will not leave our lands even if we are martyrized,” said Şaban.
 
A 17-year-old child named Mihemed Horo, who got wounded in Xlolko, stated that he got wounded while trying to go out from the village by car. “They hit us while we were going to shopping by car. We will not allow them to do what they want to do by shelling the people,” said Mihemed.
 
72-year-old Mîme Xelîl Reşo also got wounded in the attacks on the village. Mîme said, “Those who brutally attack try to kill all civilians. They target and hit our houses. They fired artillery while I was sitting at home. We barely saved our lives. They want to invade our lands and to send us from here but we will not allow them.”
