Jailed 75-year-old Sise: Hear my voice

MERSİN - Health condition of 75-year-old Sise, who is behind bars for “aiding a (terrorist) organization”, is getting worse. “Hear my voice, do something for me. I hardly live here,” said Grandmother Sise in her message sent through her lawyers.
 
75-year-old Sise Bingöl who is commonly known as Grandmother Sise was sentenced to four years and two months in prison by the court for “aiding a (terrorist) organization and she was sent to Muş E-type Prison. In recent months, she was transferred to Tarsus T-type Prison without giving any information to her family members and lawyers about her the transference. Health condition of Grandmother Sise is getting worse day by day. She is keeping alive with the help of prisoners. Constantly getting sick Grandmother Sise was reportedly handcuffed when she was taken to hospital.
 
Despite her age and diseases, all applications for her release have been rejected and she has been taken to hospital many times due to her diseases until now. Despite the report of the Forensic Medicine Institute (ATK) saying “She cannot stay in prison”, she hasn’t been released from prison.
 
Handcuffs were removed after objection of the doctors
 
The ATK later changed its report and Grandmother Sise denied going to hospital to protest the health report of the ATK. In recent days, Sise was taken to hospital at the instance of her wardmates. Sise was taken to hospital as being handcuffed. The handcuffs were removed after the objection of the doctors. After the treatment, she was handcuffed again and taken back to the prison.
 
‘Do something for me’
 
Grandmother Sise sent a message through her lawyers and she said, “Hear my voice, do something for me. I hardly live here. Speak out for me and the prisoners like me.”
