Hearing of jailed 17 children in Nusaybin starts

MARDİN - Hearing of 67 people, including 17 children who were arrested during the attacks after the declaration of self-governance in Mardin’s Nusaybin district and who have faced a heavy life sentence, has started.
 
First hearing of 67 people, including 17 children who were arrested in the ongoing clashes during the curfews declared in Mardin’s Nusaybin district after the declaration of self-governance, has started. The hearing of 17 children was held at the conference hall of the Social Security Institution in Mardin province. The relatives of 67 people weren’t allowed to enter the building and just the lawyers were allowed to enter the building.
 
Families: This isn’t fair
 
Families reacted to the decision of the court used its right to hold the hearing as closed. They said they had been waiting since the early hours of the morning but they hadn’t been allowed to enter the building. Mothers waiting for the hearing despite cold weather said, “They have no right to do this to us. They kept us waiting for hours but they didn’t allow us to enter the building. We want to enter and see our children. This isn’t fair.”
