MERSİN - Journalist Şirin Çoban, who was taken into custody a week ago, has been released under judicial control.

 

Şirin Çoban, who worked for Özgür Gündem and Azadiya Welat newspapers which were closed down by emergency decrees, was taken into custody in Mersin province a week ago on the ground that an arrest warrant had been issued against her. Today, she was referred to the court after the procedures had been completed at police station.

 

Şirin has been released under judicial control by the court.
