NEWS CENTER - HDP Şırnak MP Leyla Birlik talked about the actions that seven people killed by public order police in South Kurdistan saying that the government, which is the cause of the increasingly deepening political and economic crisis, should answer people. “This violence should be ended immediately, and the government should pay attention to the demands of people of South” said Birlik.

 

The actions, launched against the deepening political and economic crisis along with referandum held Semptember 28, is going on in 14 cities in South Kurdistan. The people who came together in the city of Ranya in Süleymaniye, came together again in the morning hours. Thousands of people marched shouting the slogans of 'Şehit Namirin (Martyr doesn’t die) 'for the killed people by public order police. In the city, it was reported that the shops were closed and it drawed attention that thousands of people walking wear black clothes.

 

‘The street is a legitimize right’

 

 HDP Şırnak MP Leyla Birlik evaluated on the events that happened, while the actions in South Kurdistan continued. Stating that the people of southern Kurdistan went to the streets on the basis of a legitimate right, Leyla said, “There are remarkable economic problems in South Kurdistan that last for more than two years and these problems are increasing day by day. Apart from that, the administration is monopolized, and the society is kept out of the collective management mechanism. The Assembly was a closed for a long time. These are all the point of explosion.”

 

‘The answer shouldn’t be massacre, it should be solution’

 

Reminding the invasion process of Kerkük, Leyla said that the government of the South Kurdistan did not even make a statement about the loss of gains the people have obtained by paying large amounts. Apart from this, Leyla said that in the economic sense, a capital front was formed over the main families and tribes, and added, “This reaction is a legitimate reaction. Of Course, People will have demands from governments and administrations. The answer of these demands should not be the murder of seven people, our compatriots. This approach should be abandoned immediately”.
