DİYARBAKIR- Diyarbakır Public Prosecutor's Office has considered the book of poems written by jailed TJA activist Sara Aktaş as “criminal evidence” under allegations of “disrupting indivisible integrity of the state” and added them to the indictment.

 

Sara Aktaş, activist of the Free Women’s Movement (Tevgêra Jinên Azad -TJA), was taken into custody on June 14 and then jailed within the scope of an investigation opened by Diyarbakır Public Prosecutor's Office. The Public Prosecutor’s Office has considered the book of poem to be published written by her and added the book to the indictment. The book of poems including 50 poems has been considered as “criminal evidence” under allegations of “disrupting indivisible integrity of the state.”

 

Sara faces up to two and a half year in jail and the first hearing of the case will be held on December 21, 2017.
