ŞIRNAK - 10-year-old Çiğdem Başak’s leg squashed into hinged barriers in Şırnak and then her leg was cut. Two police, who are responsible for this event, were dismissed from their jobs.

 

The hinged barrier system, which was built by police in Şırnak’s Silopi district caused 10-year-old child Çiğdem Başak get injured.  After the event happened in Yeşiltepe neighborhood, Çiğdem was taken to first Silopi public hospital then taken to Şırnak Public Hospital. While Çiğdem was walking on the hinged barrier, her leg was squashed into barriers and it is reported that her leg was cut as a result of treatment in Şırnak Public Hospital.

 

The written statement of Şırnak Prosecutor as follows: “Forensic and governmental investigation have been launched, 2 police have been dismissed from their duties in terms of soundness of investigation.”
