ADANA-Beylin Durmaz began to produce products made from felt after being retired. Beylin sells her products and she points out how production is important for women.

 

Beylin Durmaz sells the products she makes from felt at a bazaar assigned for women for two days in Çukurova district of Adana province with her daughter. Beylin began to make products made from felt after being retired. She says it also increases her self-confidence and she calls on women: “Women must produce!”

 

“We also design them”

 

Beylin didn’t stop working after being retired and she began to make products from felt at home and then she speeded up the production with her daughter. “We have been doing this for about a year. We took advantage of course opened by the municipality. Everyone likes the products we make from felt and this makes us happy. We give different shape to the material known as felt. We make dolls and home decoration items from felt. We also design them,” said Beylin.

 

‘Working women is always more successful’

 

‘We may have difficulties to making them but we are very happy,” Beylin said, “It is very hard but it is a sweet tiredness. Because we love what we are doing now. We sell our products at an affordable price. I recommend working to all women, working women is always more successful.”
