Police attack on Yüksel: 5 detained

ANKARA - Police attacked the “We want our jobs back” action on its 375th day and detained five people.
 
The hunger strike launched by two educators Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça has entered in its 255th day whilst the “We want our jobs back” action launched in front of Human Rights Monument on Yüksel Avenue has entered in its 375th day.
 
The protesters gathered in the Konur Street closed by police and wanted to make a statement in front of the Human Rights Monument. Police didn’t allow them and the protesters unfurled a banner reading, “The hunger strike on the 255th day, Nuriye and Semih should be reinstated”. Police attacked the protesters and detained five people. Furthermore, police didn’t allow the journalist taking pictures.
