ŞIRNAK – A child was seriously injured after falling into sewer pit left open by a subcontractor company working for Şırnak Municipality. The injured child passed away.

Four-year-old Feyzullah Kabul fell into a sewer pit left open by a subcontractor company working for Şırnak Municipality- a trustee was appointed to the municipality and it has been governed by this trustee- in a street of Şırnak’s Vakıfkent neighborhood and he was seriously injured. The child’s friends reported the event and the crew of the municipality and the Disaster and Emergency Presidency (AFAD) came to the scene. Feyzullah was taken to Şırnak State Hospital by ambulance.

However, Feyzullah couldn’t be saved and he passed away last night.

Furthermore, the sewer pit was reportedly opened four days ago by the municipality and no security measure has been taken around it.
