TIRBESPIYÊ – People of Rojava gathered upon the call of Qamishlo City Council and organized a march with the motto, “Our oath is to destroy Imralı’s system and live freely with our Leader”.

Reactions to ongoing aggravated isolation imposed upon PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and to the posts on social media saying that he lost his life are increasing. The Kurdish people and their friends, who demand freedom for Abdullah Öcalan by lifting the isolation, have organized many actions in the cities of Europe and Kurdistan. Qamishlo City Council organized a march from Qamishlo city to Tirbespiyê city with the motto, “Our oath is to destroy Imralı’s system and live freely with our Leader”.

After one minute silence held for those who lost their lives in the struggle for democracy and freedom, the march was started. Thousands from Qamishlo, Tirbesipiyê, Amude and Dirbesiyê joined the march. As the women were at the forefront of the march, the people carried the photos of Abdullah Öcalan and YPG/YPJ fighters lost their lives in Rojava Revolution during the march.

The march ended in front of the water reservoir in Tirbesipiyê city.
