ANKARA- Police attacked “We want our jobs back” action carried out by the supporters of Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça and detained three people.
 
The hunger strike launched by academic Nuriye Gülmen and teacher Semih Özakça, who were dismissed from their duties by emergency decrees has entered in its 235th day. The “We want our jobs back” action carried out by the supporters of educators after their arrest has entered in its 355th day.
 
The group wanted to make a statement in front of the Human Rights Monument on Yüksel Avenue; however, police didn’t allow them again. The protesters gathered in Konur Street and unfurled a banner reading, “The hunger strike on the 235th day Nuriye and Semih should be reinstated”.
 
Police attacked the protesters and detained İlker Işık, Mehmet Dersulu and another protester.
