QAMISHLO - ANHA correspondent Dilîşan Îbiş was sent to her hometown Kobanê from Qamishlo on the shoulders of her colleagues today at 10 a.m.

Daesh gangs attacked a group of fleeing civilians with two bomb laden cars around 18:30 Thursday evening. Three correspondents of Hawar News Agency (ANHA) were wounded in the attack. However, Dilîşan Îbiş passed away in the hospital yesterday. Today, many Dilîşan’s colleagues and journalists of ANHA took her dead body from Enteriyê morgue and sent her to her hometown Kobanê.

Free Press Union member Stêrk Gulo made a short speech during the ceremony and she said, “Dilîşan lost her life while recording the struggle for freedom and the moments of liberation of humanity like Nujiyan, Deniz and Agirî. As her colleagues, we will never leave Dilişan's pen and camera. Many our friends and civilians lost their lives due to bomb laden vehicles of Daesh gangs, enemies of humanity. Dilîşan’s camera was burned. We promise her that we will not give up the struggle left uncompleted by her even if we burn with our cameras.”
