NEWS CENTRE - The Fırat Canton Economic Council stated that flour and fuel are running low in Kobanê, indicating that Kobanê is facing a crisis.

The Fırat Canton Economic Council issued a statement regarding the shortage of flour and fuel in Kobanê. The statement, made in the Lower Kobanê (new neighbourhood) area, was read by Ezîz Ebdî, Co-Chair of the Euphrates Canton Economic Committee.

The statement read: "We have been under siege for nine days. Militias are attacking Kobanê on all fronts. Kobanê is surrounded on all sides. As the Economic Council, we are trying to provide all services to our people until the end. Our people are going through an extremely difficult process. We are trying to support our people to the best of our ability. Our bakeries continue to operate and we will serve our people as long as we have flour. However, due to Kobanê being under very heavy siege, fuel and flour are running out. If this situation continues, Kobanê will face a crisis.

Call to defend Kobanê

Our call is for everyone who stands for freedom to defend the city of Kobanê and support Kobanê. Because everyone owes Kobanê. For Kobanê saved the whole world from the DAİŞ gangs in 2014. Everyone must help the people of Kobanê, and this war must be stopped immediately. If this war is not stopped, the people of Kobanê will face a major crisis. Everyone must stand up for Kobanê."
