ISTANBUL - The Counter Terrorism Department, which could not tolerate slogans at the HDP Istanbul Provincial Congress, filed a criminal complaint.

 

The Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Istanbul Provincial Organization held its 4th Ordinary Congress with the slogan ‘Now is the time of HDP’. The Counter Terrorism Department of the Directorate General of Security announced that a criminal complaint was filed about the HDP Congress on the grounds that slogans praising Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan and ‘’organizational’’ anthems were sung.

 

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) announced the criminal complaint regarding HDP’s Istanbul Congress with a statement on the digital media platform.
