Chief judge who assigned for Kobanê Trial dismissed

ANKARA - Bahtiyar Çolak, a chief judge of the Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court, who was assigned for the Kobanê Trial and did not attend the hearings for a while, was dismissed by the decision of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors.
 
Bahtiyar Çolak, a chief judge of the Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court, who was specially assigned for the Kobanê Political Genocide Trial, was dismissed by the decision of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK). It was stated that Bahtiyar, who was dismissed by the decision of the HSK on November 4, has not yet been appointed to any place.

In the 2nd session of the 4th hearing of the Kobanê Trial, held on September 21, it was said that the Covid-19 test of the chief judge, Bahtiyar, who did not attend the hearing, was positive. Although the chief judge was positive, the hearing was not adjourned, and on September 23, the hearings continued with the temporary assignment of Yıldıray Kaya, a member of the court. Yıldıray, who was the temporary chief judge at the 5th hearing which started on October 18, stated that Bahtiyar could not attend the hearings for a month or two due to his sicken.
 
A member was appointed from the court where the objections were made
 
Yıldıray, who was temporarily assigned to the Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court by the decision of the HSK on November 4, was appointed as the chief judge. Murat Dönmez, who is a member of the Ankara 23rd High Criminal Court, which is the decision authority of the objections made against the 22nd High Criminal Court, was appointed to replace the member of the court whose place was empty by the same decision.
