DİYARBAKIR - DTK Co-chair Leyla Güven sent a letter to Palestinian prisoners who began to hunger strike.

Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair Leyla Güven, who was sentenced to 22 years and three months in prison on the accusation of ‘’being the executive of the terrorist organization’’ and held in Elazığ Closed Prison, sent a letter to Palestinian prisoners who began to hunger strike in Israeli prisons.

The letter sent by Leyla to the Palestinian prisoners includes the following statements:

‘’Dear Prisoners of the Palestinian People;

From the Elazığ Prison I am in, I learned through the press that you are on a hunger strike. I wanted to write to you as one who knows very well what a hunger strike means in prison. In the 21st century, while people are trying to ensure land in space to add color to their lives, the Palestinian people and the Kurdish people continue to be persecuted like refugee on their own lands’’.
