‘Pregnant woman was attacked in Şırnak’

ŞIRNAK - It turned out that a woman named A. was attacked by an unidentified man on October 15 in Silopi district.
 
Pregnant woman named A. was attacked by an unidentified man in the Silopi district of Şırnak province. It was learned that the incident took place on October 15, and the perpetrator was not caught.
A., who was exposed to the attack, told our agency about her experiences.
 
He entered the house and attacked
 
Stating that the incident took place on October 15 at 15:00, A. conveyed the events as follows, ‘’My mother-in-law and my spouse were not at home. Me and my two small children were at home. I was in the kitchen, I was going to cook. I left the door of the house open because it was daytime. I heard knocking on the door. And I went to the outer door. A man I did not know said he wants sugar. I went to the kitchen to bring him sugar. I was in front of the kitchen counter, and when I turned around he was standing behind me. He entered the house with his shoes on. I was just about to scream, he choked and attacked me. I could not scream because he was choking my throat. Then all of a sudden I fainted. He had run away when I came to. Immediately, I went to the hospital in same day. The doctor examined me and said I had nothing’’.
 
Her baby is in danger
 
Stating that she is five months pregnant, A. stated that the perpetrator hit her stomach and back with his feet. Stating that she has not been able to feel her child’s movements since that day, A. said, ‘’My baby’s condition may be in danger. The doctor looked at my baby with an ultrasound and said that the attacker’s kick coincided with my baby’s back. At the same time, the doctor said that the baby’s back may have been broken’’.
 
She was also followed previously
 
Stating that she was followed by a man while she was leaving the charity foundation in the district before, A. said that the perpetrator had followed her while she was leaving the foundation and got on the same minibus with her. ‘’There he was staring at me and looking. He sat in the seat right behind me. The man following me was tall, brunet and bearded. I would identify that person anywhere. I cannot forget what happened since then. My psychology is depressed. I remember that moment every time I close my eyes. I cannot be alone at home. I can’t go anywhere,’’ she said.
 
She filed a criminal complaint
 
Stating that she went to the Silopi District Police Department and filed a criminal complaint after the incident, A. finally said, ‘’I will not stop and remain silent until this person is found and punished. My statement was taken at the police station. I have filed a criminal complaint and I am not giving up on this case. I want all women and women’s organizations to help me’’.
