30 years prison sentence to Ayşe Gökkan

DİYARBAKIR - At the hearing of TJA Term Spokesperson Ayşe Gökkan, the court sentenced her to 30 years in prison and decided to continuation of her detention.
 
The 23rd hearing of the lawsuit filed against Free Women’s Movement (TJA) Term Spokesperson Ayşe Gökkan on allegations of ‘’being an executive of a terrorist organization’’ and ‘’being a member of a terrorist organization’’ was held at Diyarbakır 9th High Criminal Court. Ayşe and her lawyers Berfin Gökkan, Özüm Vurgun and Muharrem Şahin attended the hearing. In addition, independent feminist women, TJA, Rosa Women’s Association, People’s Democratic Party (HDP) MPs Remziye Tosun and Nuran İmir took their place in the hall for support.
 
As Ayşe entered the hearing room, she saluted the women by making a victory sign.
 
Ayşe and her lawyers briefly stated their justifications and stated that they would not make defense.
 
After a recess, the court decided 30 years prison sentence about Ayşe.
