Statement from United Kurdish Women’s Platform on Iraq elections

NEWS CENTER - Congratulating the 24 Kurdish and total 97 women candidates who entered the parliament in the Iraqi elections, the United Kurdish Women’s Platform said: ‘’Our hope is that their first goal to be the unity of Kurdish women.’’
 
The United Kurdish Women’s Platform published a written statement regarding the enter of 97 women candidates, 24 of whom were Kurds, into the parliament in the elections held on October 10 in Iraq. In the statement said: ‘’24 Kurdish women were elected in the elections held in Iraq. We congratulate all Kurdistan MPs, especially Kurdish women, and share the joy of this victory.’’
 
‘Kurdish women have raised their voices in every field’
 
Emphasizing the importance of the success of Kurdish women candidates, the statement said: ‘’The role and mission of Kurdish women is growing day by day in the four parts of Kurdistan from west to east, from north to south. Kurdish women have become the symbol of the freedom struggle. Kurdish women have raised their voices in every field and show their colours in society.’’

Finally, the following statements were included in the statement: ‘’Our hope and belief is that this power will be the power that will raise the voice of the Kurdish women’s unity, the Kurds and Kurdistan in four parts with the women’s power.
