DİYARBAKIR - The hearing of journalist Hatice Şahin, who is on trial within the scope of DTK, has been adjourned.

The 4th hearing of the lawsuit filed against Hatice Şahin, an employee of Yeni Yaşam newspaper, who was detained and released on October 18, 2018 as part of the investigation launched against the Democratic Society Congress (DTK), was held at the 9th High Criminal Court in Diyarbakır. While Hatice was not attending the hearing, her lawyer Resul Temur was present.
The prosecution demanded that they have nothing to say about the incoming documents, that Hatice’s judicial control measures be continued and that the response of the warrant written to the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office be awaited.

Lawyer Resul Temur requested that his client’s judicial control measure be lifted.

The court board decided to continue the judicial control measure against Hatice, to reject the objection to the contrary and to wait for the response of the warrant written regarding the request of the witness Derya Aslan's statement from the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

The court board adjourned the next hearing to January 26, 2022.
