ANKARA - The Coalition for Women in Journalism said in a post about the police obstruction that our reporter Öznur Değer and journalist Büşra Taşkıran were exposed to in a street interview, and shared: ‘’The freedom of the press cannot be restricted in this way.’2

The Coalition for Women in Journalism (CFWIJ) shared on their digital media accounts for our agency’s reporter Öznur Değer and Doğrusu News’ reporter Büşra Taşkıran, who were blocked by the police while conducting a street interview.

In the post made about Öznur and Büşra, who were surrounded by the police, taken to the Criminal Record Check (GBT) and whose camera were forcibly turned off while they were handed the microphone to the citizens, it was said: ‘’Büşra Taşkıran and Öznur Değer were blocked by the police while conducting street interviews with citizens. Showing the lack of a turquoise press card as the reason, the police again violated the journalists’ right to report. The CFWIJ condemns the intervention. Freedom of the press cannot be restricted in this way.’’
