URFA - While the visits to Emine and Ferit Şenyaşar, who have been on the ‘’justice vigil’’ for 206 days, continue, ESP members and executives who came for solidarity stated that the family is not alone.

The justice vigil, started on March 9, by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack of AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız’s bodyguard and relatives, and Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack with injuries, has entered its 206th day. Support visits continue to Emine and Ferit, who come to the area called ‘’Şenyaşar family justice corner’’. The delegation, which also included Şahin Tümüklü, Co-chair of the Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP), visited the family. During the visit, the family was accompanied by their lawyer, Hidayet Enmek.

Lawyer Hidayet Enmek, who gave information to the ESP delegation about the case file, stated that the justice vigil continues despite the obstacles and that they will follow the legal process until the end as lawyers and said: ‘’One day, justice will be appeared. This vigil of justice showed how helpless we lawyers are. We invite all democratic forces to support the family.’’

‘This scream is our scream’

Drawing attention to the importance of continuing the struggle for justice in this geography, ESP Co-chair Şahin Tümüklü pointed to the 20th hearing of the Suruç Massacre Trial, which was held at the Urfa 5th High Criminal Court yesterday, and said: ‘’We saw it yesterday in Suruç. Justice palaces, courts and prosecutors are the spokespersons of those who are politically responsible for this matter. Here, too, we are in front of a building that serves as the spokesperson for the politically responsible. We see how a family is murdered and how their struggles are tried to be covered up. The call of the family is a call to resistance. Our duty is to be a voice for the scream of the Şenyaşar family. It is our duty to shout this scream everywhere. We will do our best to spread this resistance everywhere. We will continue to say justice for the Şenyaşar family, justice for everyone. We will unite the struggles for justice. This scream is our scream.’’

Ferit Şenyaşar also talked about the difficulties they experienced during the vigil process. After keeping a ‘’justice vigil’’ with the family for a while, the delegation left the area.
