3 people battered and detained in Bingöl

BİNGÖL - A second raid was carried out on the house of the relatives of Sonuç Gürdeğir, who was subjected to severe torture while in custody. It was learned that three people, including one woman, were detained.
 
Soldiers and polices raided the homes of Ahmet Gürdeğir (34), Hatun Gürdeğir (65) and Ertan Gürdeğir (45), living in the village of Kadîmadrak (Kerpiksuyu) in the center of Bingöl, in the morning hours. It was stated that the doors of the houses were broken down and all the belongings were distributed during the raid. It was learned that Ahmet Gürdeğir, Bermal Gürdeğir (18) and Azad Gürdeğir (18) were taken into custody during the raids. Three people, whose reasons for detention could not be learned, were taken to the Bingöl Police Department.
 
On the other hand, it was reported that those detained were battered.
 
What happened?
 
The houses where the Gürdeğir family lived were raided on August 24, and Özge Gürdeğir, Prenses Gürdeğir, Ahmet Gürdeğir, Menfiye Gürdeğir, Ertan Gürdeğir and Mehmet Buyuldar were detained. Again, within the scope of the same investigation, a house raid was carried out in Istanbul, and Sonuç Gürdeğir was taken into custody. After the statement procedures, Ahmet and Menfiye Gürdeğir were released on condition of judicial control, and Mehmet Buyuldar was arrested along with Özge, Prenses and Ertan Gürdeğir.
 
Sonuç Gürdeğir, who was brought to Bingöl and held in custody for 11 days, was arrested on charges of ‘’being a member of a terrorist organization’’ and ‘’disrupting the unity and integrity of the state’’. Human rights and legal organizations announced that Sonuç Gürdeğir was subjected to intense torture during the days he was held in custody.
