Police who killed Miraç released

ŞIRNAK - Armoured vehicle’s driver police, who hit and killed Miraç Miroğlu in Idil, was released after his statement was taken.
 
The statement of the armoured vehicle driver police, who killed 7-year-old Miraç Miroğlu, who was riding a bicycle on the street where their house is located in the Turgut Özal Neighborhood of Şırnak’s Idil district, was taken days later.
 
It was learned that the investigation initiated by the Idil Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding the incident was initiated on the grounds of ‘’traffic accident involving death’’.
The statement of the police officer, who learned that he was not detained despite the death, was taken today, only three days after the incident. The police officer brought to the courthouse was released after his statement was taken.
 
He argued that he did not go fast
 
In his statement to the police, it was learned that the driver police argued that he did not go fast in the armoured vehicle and said: ‘’I did not do it on purpose, I did not want it to end like this.’’
It was decided to send a copy of the investigation file to the Forensic Medicine Institute Traffic Specialization Department to determine the defect rate.

The prosecutor has not yet applied the statement of the Miroğlu family, who lost their children. A statement from the family is expected to taken in the coming days.
