DİYARBAKIR - After Mahsum Aslan’s bones were sent to his family by cargo, , Halise İpek, whose her son Agit İpek’s funeral was sent by cargo one year ago, reacted with the words: ‘’Don’t let our funerals come by cargo anymore, it is unscrupulousness.’’

The DNA sample given by the family of People’s Dfence Forces (HPG) member Mahsum Aslan, who lost his life in the bombardment of the Turkish Armed Forces in the Red Mount of Dersim center in June 2018, became clearer a short time ago. Diyarbakır Ergani Police Department called the family on August 2 and asked them to come and take the funeral. Upon this, the family went to the police station and learned that the funeral was sent by cargo. This is what’s done to Mahsum Aslan’s funeral brought Agit İpek to mind. The body of HPG member Agit İpek, who lost his life on Xelasor Hill in Dersim in 2017, was sent to his family living in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır on April 10, 2020, through PTT Cargo.

Agit’s mother, Halise İpek, condemned the sending of a young person’s funeral to his mother by cargo, and described it as ‘’unscrupulousness’’.

‘The enemy is tearing apart our children and send’

Halise, who said that there was a great public reaction after Agit’s bones were sent by cargo, said that everyone was in solidarity and look after the funeral. Halise said: ‘’We said this will be a lesson to them and they will not do such things anymore, but they continue. It means they are enjoying it. Like Agit, they sent Mahsum’s bones to his mother. Tearing my heart out for Agit. I am calling the state, enough is enough. Put yourself in our place, you have children too. It will be your turn, too. I am calling out to the Kurds who are on the side of the state, it is us today, you tomorrow. Enough, don't let them send our bones by cargo. Even the funeral of the animal cannot be sent by cargo. They are tearing our children apart, it is not enough, they send by cargo. Give the funerals to the families. They are afraid of bones. I am calling out to families, let them speak too. We raised our children in hardship. The enemy is tearing our children apart and sending them to us, we do not raise our voices. Our funerals should not come by cargo anymore.’’

‘If they are Muslims, let them fulfill their conditions’

Stating that they could not watch the news and could no longer bear to see the people who lost their lives, Halise said: ‘’When I watch the fires on TV, I cannot stand it. They are burning our children, animals, disturbing the balance of nature. Our psychology is broken. If they are Muslims, let them fulfill the conditions of Islam. Muslimism is not about burning forests, people and animals and sending the bones of their children to families.’’
