Sending funeral of Mahsum Aslan by cargo brought to parliamentary agenda

ANKARA - HDP MP Remziye Tosun brought sending of funeral of Mahsum Aslan to his family by cargo after Agit İpek to the agenda of the parliament. Remziye asked: ‘’What is the legal justification for sending the funeral by cargo?’’ 
 
Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Diyarbakır MP Remziye Tosun carried to the parliamentary agenda that the funeral of People’s Defence Forces (HPG) member Mahsum Aslan, who lost his life as a result of the bombardment of the Turkish Armed Forces in the Red Mount of Dersim center in June 2018, was sent to his family by cargo. Remziye submitted a parliamentary question to the Presidency of the Assembly, demanding an answer from Vice President Fuat Oktay and Minister of Justice Abdülhamit Gül.
 
‘It will create a reaction in the society’
 
In the parliamentary question, it was stated that the test result of the DNA sample given by Mahsum Aslan’s family three years ago was finalized a month ago, and it was stated that the funerals would be sent to them after the family applied to the prosecutor’s office. In the parliamentary question, it was stated that the family was called to the Ergani Police Department for the funeral on August 2. There was said to the family that the funeral would be sent them by cargo. In parliamentary question stated: ‘’This practice, which does not fit into any humanitarian or religious values, will certainly cause a reaction in this society, which mostly cares about religious values.’’
