In the city of Hewlêr in the Federated Kurdistan Region, there is no news from the three women politicians held by the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) public order. According to the news of Rojnews, a delegation from the Kurdistan Free Women’s Organization (RJAK) attended the commemoration in Shengal for the seventh anniversary of the massacre against Ezidis. RJAK executives Xewla Mihemed Hesen, Ciwana Ebdulbaqî and Seyran Ehmed Hesen, who were in the delegation, were held by the KDP public order at the entrance of Hewlêr, where they went after the commemoration.

 

The RJAK administration stated that they could not receive any information from the KDP officials about the situation of women politicians and therefore they were worried.
