Perpetrator who murdered Kurdish family arrested

KONYA - Mehmet Altun, the perpetrator who murdered the Kurdish family in Meram, was arrested.
 
The perpetrator Mehmet Altun, who murdered seven members of the Kurdish family living in the Hasanköy Neighborhood of the Meram district of Konya, was caught in his hiding place six days later. The perpetrator, who was detained in the Bozkır district of Konya, was referred to the prosecutor's office after the police statement.
 
The perpetrator Mehmet Altun, who was brought to the Konya Courthouse with intense security measures and the protection of the special operations police, was referred to the Magistrates Court on Duty after his statement to the prosecutor's office. The perpetrator was arrested on charges of ‘’killing seven people with a monstrously feeling by prepensely’’, ‘’damage to property by burning’’, ‘’violation of residence immunity’’ and ‘’possess gun without carry permit.’’
 
The perpetrator, whose police statement was taken yesterday, confessed that he burned the family's house after the massacre to obfuscate the evidences.
The perpetrator, Mehmet Altun, gathered the family in the garden at gunpoint at the Dedeoğulları family's house, which he went to on July 30 around at 18:19. While the family members tried to prevent the perpetrator, the perpetrator, who murdered the family members, also attempted to burn the family home. Yaşar Dedeoğulları, İpek Dedeoğulları, Serap Dedeoğulları, Sibel Dedeoğulları, Serpil Dedeoğulları, Metin Dedeoğulları and Barış Dedeoğulları were murdered by the perpetrator.
