The family who attacked with a gun was taken into protection

Speaking to our agency about the incident, Ferhat Boztaş, a family member from Mardin, said that a fight broke out after ‘’animal droppings’’ was thrown on the empty field between the farmhouse where the Kırıkkale family is located and their house. Ferhat stated that the other party attacked and threatened them with sexist swearings and insults and said: ‘’At least 150 people attacked us. Four people standing in front of us shooted fire on us with guns. Four of my older brothers were seriously injured. The men are already full of hatred, if they drown the Kurds in a spoonful of water, they will not feel comfortable.’’ Ferhat conveyed the information that although four people from his family were injured, after the incident, the family was taken under protection with security measures in front of the other party's house.

Attack on injured relatives

Ferhat said that while they were waiting for their relatives in front of the Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Training and Research Hospital, the guards at the hospital told them to ‘get out of here’. He said that the police who came to the hospital after the tension with the guards also intervened in them. Ferhat said: ‘’My older brother was sitting in front of the hospital, the guards first said to my brother, 'Get out of here'. Later, they attacked. We got involved in the fight to protect my older brother. When the police came, they attacked us with tear gas and batons without question. I still have beat marks on my body. Later, they detained many people, including my brother.’’

The police threatened the guards with the words that they would take custody if they expected footage of the reaction.
