100 decares of land turned to ash in forest fire in Lice

NEWS CENTER - In the fire that broke out on July 13 in the Yalaza Neighborhood of Lice, a 100-decare forest area turned into ashes. Forest fires in Adana and Mersin are being tried to be extinguished.
 
The forest fire, which started on the morning of 13 July in the Küme houses in the Yalaza (Kerwas) Neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Lice district, turned a large area into ashes in the Çavundur (Licok) Neighborhood with the effect of the wind. Local sources stated that four helicopters were flying over the area at the time of the fire, while 100 decares of forest area was turned into ash.
Numerous species of animals have also died in nature.
 
Forest fires in two more cities
 
On the other hand, suspicious forest fires occurred in two cities. A fire broke out in the forest area of Belemedik Nature Park Anahşa Castle in Adana's Pozantı district. The teams of the Regional Directorate of Forestry are responding to the fire from the air and from the land.
 
For an undetermined reason, a fire broke out in the forest area in Pembecik Neighborhood of Aydıncık district of Mersin. The fire is being tried to get under control with helicopters and fire trucks sent to the region.
