Hunger strike action on its 229th day

NEWS CENTER - The hunger strike launched by the prisoners to end the isolation in Imralı and the violations of rights in prisons continues on its 229th day.
 
The indefinite-alternating hunger strike launched by Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) and Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) prisoners on November 27, 2020, demanding the end of the aggravated isolation on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and an end to the increasing violations of rights in prisons, continues on the 229th day with the 46th group.
 
Day 208 in Maxmur
 
A hunger strike was launched on December 18, led by women, against the Imralı isolation in Maxmur Camp in the Federated Kurdistan Region. The action continued at the Maxmur Martyrs’ Families Association has entered its 208th day.
 
Day 191 in Greece
 
The indefinite-alternating hunger strike, launched by those staying in Lavrio Camp in Greece to end the isolation on Öcalan and to support the hunger strikes in prisons, continues on its 191st day. The hunger strike in the camp is led by the Revolutionary Youth Movement (TCŞ-Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger), the Kurdish Women's Movement in Europe (Tevgera Jinên Kurdistan a Ewropa) and the Kurdish Cultural Center (Navenda Çanda Kurdistan).
