Objection regarding release of 4 people in Kobanê Trial rejected

ANKARA - Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's objection to the release of four people in the Kobanê Trial, Ankara 23rd High Criminal Court decided that there was no place for an evaluation.
 
Kars Municipality Co-Mayor Ayhan Bilgen, who was replaced by trustee, and Can Memiş, Berfin Özgü Köse and Cihan Erdal, former Central Executive Board members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), in the 2nd session of the 3rd hearing of the Kobanê Political Genocide Trial on June 15, were released on condition of judicial control.
 
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office objected to the release of the four people on the grounds that "there is concrete evidence that they committed the crimes". The Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court, which handled the case, rejected the prosecutor's objection, and sent the file to the Ankara 23rd High Criminal Court.
 
‘No place for an evaluation’
 
Ankara 23rd High Criminal Court, in its decision announced on June 28, decided that there was no place for re-evaluation of the objection made by the prosecutor's office. With its decision, the court rejected the objection to release and sent the file back to the Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court.
