Forest fire in Bingöl under control after 5 days

BİNGÖL - The forest fire in the Selvi region of Genç district was brought under control after five days.
 
The fire, which started on June 25 in the Selvi (Süveran) region of the Genç district of Bingöl, spread towards the Güzeldere (Gaz) village, Avnik locality, yesterday with the effect of the wind. It was learned that the fire, in which dozens of settlements were affected and many livings lost their lives, was partially brought under control and cooling works were started in the villages of Güzeldere, Dedebağ, Döşek Kaya and Şanlıyurt in the Selvi region.
 
Citizens living in the region, where a large area has turned into ashes, criticize that it is late and insufficient in responding to the fire.
