DİYARBAKIR - The base station, which was opposed by the citizens in Bağcılar Neighborhood, was established in the presence of the police.

 

Within the scope of the ‘’Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Electronic Communication Systems Ground Usage Rights Agreement’’ signed between the Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality (DBB) and Turkcell Communication Services Corp., in this context, base stations are placed in parks in many parts of the city.

 

The base station, which was intended to be established twice in the park, located on 1128th Street of Bağcılar Neighborhood of Bağlar District, was blocked by the opposition of the residents. Today, the company, which carries out the base station work in the morning, came to the street in company with riot control vehicle (TOMA) and riot police, and started work.

 

Neighborhood residents reacted

 

Neighborhood residents gathered in the park protested the establishment of the base station. Residents stated that the base station puts human health at risk and said that they would not allow it to be established.

 

Despite the reactions and blocking of the citizens, the base station works in the park continue in the presence of the police.
