İZMİR - Entering HDP İzmir Provincial Organization, an armed attacker named O.G., killed the party employee Deniz Poyraz he had taken hostage. The attacker, who wanted to set fire to the party building, was detained.

 

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) İzmir Provincial Organization witnessed the attack and murder of an armed person. A party employee named Deniz Poyraz lost her life in the attack.

 

HDP Group Deputy Chairperson Saruhan Oluç shared the information that the attacker, who entered the party buildings and killed his colleagues, in the broadcast of Medya Haber TV, which he attended.

 

According to the information received, the attacker, who came in front of the party building in the morning hours, entered the party and took a woman employee, Deniz Poyraz, in her 40s, who took care of the food and cleaning works at the party. The armed attacker killed the party employee, then tried to set fire to the party building.

 

Upon hearing of the incident, party executives and party members immediately came to the Provincial Organization building in Konak.

 

Arriving at the scene, the police entered the party building and detained the attacker. The attacker, who was taken into custody, was taken out under security measures, and taken to the police station in the police vehicle he was put in. It was seen that the attacker was not handcuffed when he was detained by the police.

 

It was learned that the name of the detained attacker is O.G.

 

A written statement was made from the Izmir Governor's Office about the attack. In the statement said: "At around 11.05 am today, a person named O.G., who resigned as a healthcare worker, entered the HDP provincial building on the 2nd floor of a business building with 32 workplaces in our city and killed D.P., who is party employee. The suspect was caught, the incident is being investigated in all its aspects."
