Hunger strike resistance on its 198th day

NEWS CENTER - The hunger strike launched against the aggravated isolation imposed on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and the increasing violations of rights in prisons is on its 198th day.
 
The indefinite-alternating hunger strike launched by Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) and Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) prisoners on November 27, 2020, demanding the end of the aggravated isolation on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and an end to the increasing violations of rights in prisons, continues on its 198th day with the 40th group.
 
In the report prepared by the Hunger Strike Monitoring Delegation on the ongoing hunger strikes, it was stated that the attitudes towards the prisoners on strike became harden, the pressure increased, and a separate disciplinary investigation was initiated for each rotation.
