URFA - While visits were made to the action of Emine and Ferit Şenyaşar, who have been on the "Justice" vigil for 93 days, calls for enlarging solidarity were repeated.

The "justice" vigil in front of the Urfa Courthouse continues on the 93rd day of Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attacks, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack with injuries. Emine and Ferit started their action delayed due to the phone call made with Fadıl Şenyaşar, who has been held in a single room in Elazığ Prison for three years.

‘The hospital exists to recure, not to kill’

Emine stated that she met with her son in prison for 20 minutes and drew attention to the conditions in which her son was held. Emine expressed that it was unscrupulousness for her son to be kept alone in a room for three years. Emine said: "They killed three people from my family and put one of them in prison. Have you ever heard of people being killed in the hospital? They killed my husband in front of my eyes. They crushed his head. Is this justice? They painted the hospital overnight and destroyed the footage. The hospital exists to recure people, not kill them. How is this justice? No one could commit such a massacre. I have been sitting here for three months. I want my son released. We were trades. What did we do to whom? I have been here for three months. My eyes no longer see. We cannot afford this cruelty. Is to MP mean that killing people? Why don't they judge?"

Call for solidarity

Ferit Şenyaşar, pointing out that his brother with whom he spoke on the phone is also hopeful. "He is waiting for the day when justice will be achieved. We have fought for justice for 93 days. 10 bar association chairs visited us. And they promised us legal support. Our request is to reach 81 bar association chairs and ask for legal support. The prosecutor of the case did not want to meet with us because he was under political pressure. We saw that we were right. Due to political pressure, the prosecutors were unable to do their job. We want this pressure to be lifted and justice provided," Ferit said and called for solidarity.

On the other hand, the family shared the following message on their social media account: "Our struggle for justice is on the 93rd day. We commute 40 km every day. This is not difficult for us, it does not tire us. What makes us tired and oppressed is that the judiciary is blind and deaf to our demand for justice."

Visits to family

Support visits to the family, who continue the vigil in front of the courthouse barriers, continue. Health and Social Service Workers' Union (SES) Diyarbakır branch management, Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) MPs Remziye Tosun, Ayşe Sürücü and Mothers of Peace visited the family at the place of action. Emine and Ferit talked to the visitors about the vigils and their experiences.

‘We will be partners in the pursuit of justice’

Speaking during the visit, SES Diyarbakır branch co-chair Şiyar Güldiken said: "Despite the evidence, the necessary investigation and prosecution is not carried out. Even though there was a massacre, the AKP again took a person, whose hands was covered in blood, to the management. While he should be tried, he is still given duty. This is to give consent to the massacres. We will continue to be partners in the family's pursuit of justice. We need to increase solidarity."

Delegations visiting the family kept watch here for a while with the family.
