Reaction from Türkan Elçi for words, ‘there is no unsolved murder in our period’

ISTANBUL - Reacting to the words of the Minister of Internal Affairs, "There is no unsolved murder in our period," Türkan Elçi said in her post on her social media account: "Human freezes in the face of comfort and just wants to look at the sky, the face of the ground is very dirty."
 
Türkaç Elçi reacted to the words "There is no unsolved murder in our period", which said in a television program attended by Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu.

Posting on her social media account regarding the statements of the Minister of the Interior, Türkan said: "I haven’t watched a discussion program for five years. A headache, urge to vomit when watching. As far as I can see from the media, Süleyman Soylu said, ‘There is no unsolved murder in our period’. Human just wants to look at the sky by freezing in the face of comfort, the face of the ground is very dirty."
 
Türkan’s husband, Diyarbakır Bar Association Chair Tahir Elçi, was murdered in front of the Four-Legged Minaret in Diyarbakır on November 28, 2015. In the case filed five years later, family and lawyers reacted to the indictment due to negligence and deficiencies. In her letter, which was not read at the court, Türkan said: "While the last five years did not reduce the pain of the truth of death, unfortunately, the reluctance of the relevant authorities to find the perpetrators of the murder, the remain unresponsive to the victimization due to various concerns and motives, and the preference of silence caused our hopes to diminish."
