19 people detained in Diyarbakır

DİYARBAKIR - 19 people, including three women, were detained during home raids in Diyarbakır in the morning.
 
While it was learned that within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a custody order was issued for 34 persons, and this morning houses were raided in Diyarbakır center, Kulp and Silvan districts. 19 people, three of whom were women, were detained in the raids.
 
It was stated that those detained were taken to the Diyarbakır Provincial Security Directorate.
 
On the other hand, the Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) Co-Chair Beycan Taşkıran was detained by the police in Dersim center and taken to the Tunceli Provincial Security Directorate. It was learned that Beycan was detained due to the operation carried out in Diyarbakır.
 
The names of those detained are as follows: Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Diyarbakır provincial organization former co-chair Cabbar Leygara, HDP Diyarbakır provincial co-chair’s deputy İrfan Soner, provincial executives Arif Bulut, Newroz Reşitoğlu and Ramazan Kızıltepe, HDP Bağlar former district co-chair Mehmet Atlıhan, Yenişehir Municipality council members Alaattin Zuğurli, Yusuf Sökmen and Şahin Tanrıverdi, 81-year-old Kadri Atlı, Fırat Akdeniz who was expelled by decree, Bağlar Municipality council members Hüsnü Kaya, Selvi Ok, Özlem Noyan, HDP Yenişehir district co-chair Kasım Kaya, Association for Cooperation with the Families of Prisoners and Convicts (TUAY-DER) executive Mehmet Özel, HDP Bağlar executive Kemal Baran and HDP provincial executive Abdullah Arıkan.
