ANKARA - While the attack was taking place against the HDP Headquarter building, the HDP Central Executive Board stated that the police officers in charge of protecting the building were helping instead of stopping the attack.

 

Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Central Executive Board made a written statement regarding the attack on the headquarter building. In the statement, it was stated that three people attacked the headquarter building at around 00.05 am last night, and the police officers who were responsible for protecting the building in the camera recordings did not prevent the attack and helped those who attempted to attack.

 

‘Süleyman Soylu is a perpetrator’

 

The statement mentioned that the perpetrators attacked the headquarter building under the supervision of the police and it is clear that they are still not detained and by what forces they were directed, and the following statements were made: "Despite the curfew, the perpetrator of this attack against Turkey's third largest party on the first day of Ramadan Fest is the political circles nourished by chaos and turmoil, it is the power that targets our party at every opportunity. Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu, whose dirty relations were revealed by the mafia and its dark partners and blamed our party and the opposition for deflecting the target with this haste, is a perpetrator. At a time when politics-mafia relations were publicly revealed, these cowardly and mafia-based attacks on our party were not coincidence. But we say again, it will never reach its goal. No power, by attacking our party, it cannot hide the rottenness that emerged in the triangle of mafia-politics-bureaucracy, it cannot make invisible the poverty, corruption and the insolvency imposed on the society."

 

‘We will get Turkey out of this darkness’

 

In the statement, which pointed out that the HDP will continue on its paths by not only defending the third way policy that gives hope to the country, but by expanding it, "We will not leave the country to the mercy of this dark, aggressive mentality. It will void the calculations of those who are fed by chaos and disorder, and we will increase the joint struggle with our insistence on our democratic politics. We will take Turkey out of this darkness,” stated.
