Istanbul Convention action on city walls

ISTANBUL - Implement the Istanbul Convention Campaign Group reflected the writings "Istanbul Convention is 10 Years Old!" and "Istanbul Convention is Ours, We Don't Give Up" on Topkapı Walls at night.
 
The Istanbul Convention, the first international convention to be binding on violence against women, was signed by Turkey on May 11, 2011. Turkey, the first country to ratify the convention, announced that it was withdrawn from the Istanbul Convention, which is the only law that prohibits all kinds of discrimination against women and protects women, on the night of March 20, with the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette.
 
Women protesting the withdrawal decision since March 20, continued their actions due to the 10th anniversary of the convention. The women who started the actions at night reflected the writings "The Istanbul Convention is Ours, We Don’t Give Up!" and "The Istanbul Convention is 10 Years Old!" on the Topkapı Walls at night.
