MARAŞ / MARDİN - Stationery owner M.D. in Maraş, and a man whose name could not be identified in Mardin were detained for sexual abuse.

 

With the withdrawal from the Istanbul Convention, male violence is also increasing. Male violence targets children as well as women. A Twitter user shared their nephew was subjected to sexual abuse by the stationery owner M.D. In the post, it was said: “Everyone should take care of themselves, what happens to us today may happen to you tomorrow.” Upon the post, the Maraş Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation.

 

Following the investigation, the testimony of the child who was abused was taken. After the child's testimony, M.D. was taken into custody.

It was stated that M.D.'s inquiry procedures at the police station are continuing.

A 27-year-old man sexually abused a child in the district of Nusaybin in Mardin. The child's family, which explained the situation, filed a complaint about the perpetrator to the police. While starting an investigation into the incident, the perpetrator, who was detained by the police, was taken to the Nusaybin District Police Department.
