ANKARA - In the Kobanê Trial, as the attorneys leave the courtroom to protest the court board, the indictment is read at the hearing. Democratic Regions Party (DBP) former Co-Chair Sebahat Tuncel said: “You are trying to judge us without our lawyers. We do not want to stay here and listen.”

 

In the Kobanê Trial, which continues to be heard in Ankara Sincan Campus, the court board reads the indictment, ignoring all the demands of attorneys and politicians. The chief judge's rejection of the demands of attorneys and politicians on trial is being protested in the trial where 108 people, 28 of whom were under arrest, are being tried.

 

Attorneys and politicians leave the courtroom

 

Noting that their demands were ignored and the trial was carried out unlawfully, the attorneys left the courtroom, protesting the court board. After the attorneys left the courtroom, many Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) members including HDP Co-Chair Pervin Buldan left courtroom.

 

While the hearing continues with the reading of the indictment, the protests against the court board continue.

 

Sebahat Tuncel: We do not want to listen

 

DBP former co-chair Sebahat Tuncel said: “I want to take a floor. We have a recusation demand. You are trying to judge us without our attorneys. We do not want to stay here and listen,” she criticized the attitude of the court board.
