Hunger strike actions continue on its 147th day

NEWS CENTER - The hunger strike launched by prisoners against the aggravated isolation and increasing right violations in prisons continues on its 147th day.
 
The action in which the 30th group took over the hunger strike launched by Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) prisoners on November 27, 2020, to end the isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who has been kept under aggravated isolation in İmralı High-Security F-Type Prison for 22 years, continues on its 147th day.
 
The Association of Lawyers for Freedom (ÖHD) held a press release to draw attention to the hunger strikes in many cities, especially in Diyarbakır, Istanbul, and Ankara. In the statements, it was stated, "We invite the Ministry of Justice and all relevant institutions to fulfill their responsibilities and to take a step as soon as possible in order to find solutions before hunger strikes go further and without loss of life, to end violations of rights and to end the isolation."
