BATMAN - The family of HPG member Cuma İmen (who was claimed to have been killed after being caught alive in a oparion in Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak) could not get any information about the funeral despite all the applications they made. Mother Saliha said she wanted her son's bones.

A military operation was held in the Faraşîn District of Şırnak's Beytüşşebap district in July 2017. According to the statement of the Governorship of Sirnak on 23 July 2017 after the operation, it was stated that 6 people in total lost their lives in the same region, two of them were women.

In a video posted on social media following the governor's statement, HPG' member Cuma İmen, who was caught alive during the military operation, was forced to say "I  surrender, Turkish soldiers are good to me" by soldiers but he said, "They beat me, they have been beating me since the morning''.  The soldiers who reacted upon this closed the video and no news has been received from that day about Cuma  since then.

His family filed a criminal complaint

According to the public allegations, he was killed shortly after the camera was turned off. After the video were posted on social media, Cuma İmen's (Koçer Devrim) family applied to the Human Rights Association (İHD) in Batman for their son. Saying that they have not been given any information about the incident 24 July, the family is waiting for the funeral of their children. The family filed a criminal complaint against those responsible after the application to the IHD. However, no progress has been made so far regarding the criminal complaint.

'I want my son's bones'

Cuma's mother, Saliha İmen, recalling what happened, "No information has been given to us until now. We do not know where he is. Did they kill him? Did they bury him? We do not know what they did. In the video we watched, the soldiers caught him. We went and wanted his dead body. But we were not told anything properly. They neither say if they killed nor do they say anything about the funeral. He is already dead. But after he died, they played games about the funeral. Does the person who fears God do this? We want his bones. We want the funeral. I want a grave.
