HABER MERKEZİ - The hunger strike, that prisoners started to end the isolation on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and  the violations of rights in prisons continues on the 13th day after the 3rd group took over the hunger strike. 

 

In Turkey’s and in region’s  prisons, the prisoners started an indefinite alternating hunger strike  on November 27 to stop ongoing isolation on Abdullah Öcalan and  stop violations of rights against the prisoners. The hunger strikes continue by the third group on its 13th day.

 

In order to draw attention to the hunger strike actions TUHAY-DER (the Association for Solidarity with the Families of Prisoners and Convicts) made a statement with the participation of non-governmental organizations in Istanbul and Van. They wanted government to end the isolation, and people to be sensitive for the action.
