Racist attack on HDP’s booth: 1 injured HDP member taken into custody

	ISTANBUL -  A racist group attacked the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) booth in Istanbul’s Büyükada and stabbed Sedat Şahin. Injured Sedat has been taken into custody by police.

	 

	 

	A racist group attacked the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) booth in Istanbul’s Büyükada. According to tweet of Taylan Kulaçoğlu, a citizen named Sedat Şahin was stabbed in four times while trying to stop the group.

	 

	Injured citizen taken into custody

	 

	Taylan wrote on his social media account, “Our friend was handcuffed behind the back even though he was stabbed in four times. He was kept waiting in ambulance for 30 minutes along with another injured friend.” Taylan also reported that the group members came from outside of the island, “The group members came from outside of the island to mess the booth up. There is no camera record. The police of Büyükada Police Station threatened the people begin to get together after the attack as, “All of you will see after June 24” and this shows how the played game is big”
