Doctors demand Meles Tekin to be sent to Adana

	 MARDİN - Doctors of Elazığ T-type Closed Prison have reportedly demanded 73-year-old Meles Tekin, who was detained and jailed due to an approved final verdict against her and then exiled from Mardin E-type Closed Prison to Elazığ T-type Closed Prison, to be sent to Adana due to her health problems.

	 

	In the past few months, 73-year-old Meles Tekin, who was detained and then jailed due to an approved final verdict, was exiled from Mardin E-type Closed Prison to Elazığ T-type Closed Prison. Meles was sent to the infirmary in the prison and the doctors of the prison have reportedly demanded Meles to be sent to Adana due to her health problems.

	 

	‘I am not different than imprisoned mothers and youths!’

	 

	Meles’ relatives, who had visited her in the prison, said her morale was high despite her health problems. Meles told her relatives that she doesn’t have problems except her health problems and that the lawyers should apply for her supervised release. Meles asked her relatives to tell the public opinion that her morale is high and she said, “I am like every imprisoned person, I am not different than the imprisoned mothers and youths.”

	 

	Call for awareness from her family

	 

	As the doctors of the prison have reportedly demanded Meles to be sent to Adana province due to her health problems, it is unknown yet if Meles will be sent to the hospital in Adana. Her family called on the public opinion and human rights organizations to show awareness for Meles. Her relatives demand immediate release of Meles.
